I live in the foothills of Mount Wellington in Hobart, Tasmania with my wife, daughter, cat and chickens.
As an Engineer, I’ve spent more nearly two decades working with SCADA and protection for the electricity industry. I’ve worked with many clever people that routinely perform the complex feats of engineering required to make something simple, like a light bulb work as expected when a member of the public flips a light switch.
One of my co-workers has a t-shirt that sums it up nicely: I’m an Engineer. I solve problems you don’t know that you have in ways that you can’t understand.
When I’m not engaged in ‘secret engineer’s business’, you can find me drinking cider, writing science fiction, and spending time with his family (although not normally in that order).
